Mission Area

• The Association Française de Lutte Anti-Rhumatismale is France’s leading nonprofit organization devoted to developing research, education, and advocacy programs about joint diseases
• TMA developed the materials to support patients suffering from arthritis to ensure they receive the treatment they deserve and to prevent the authorities from delisting common and essential medications

TMA Program

• The TMA program consisted in creating a petition in the general press to campaign against changes in the reimbursement status of certain treatments
• TMA helped organize with AFLAR all the background work (print press ads, recruitment and management of internet petitionists, internet interfaces, meetings, testimonial videos,…)

Results

• 175 000 petitionists
• Successful public relations campaign aimed at major stakeholders (government, health authorities, payers, health professionals, patients)
