What we do
The Translational Medicine Academy (TMA) is dedicated to bridging the gap between medical research and patient care. Our mission is to bring medical findings from the bench to the bedside and integrate them into the daily practices of physicians, enhancing the well-being of patients.
TMA collaborates closely with its International Scientific Advisory Board, focusing on Critical Mission Areas® in public health where educational gaps exist among physicians and unmet healthcare needs persist among patients. This collaboration aims to improve therapeutic approaches and address pressing issues in healthcare.
As an international non-profit Foundation headquartered in Basel, with additional offices in Paris and the USA, TMA operates with the support of a Scientific Advisory Board comprising experts in the field. Funding for our endeavors comes from private donations by individuals and educational grants from governments, non-governmental organizations, and corporations.
The TMA uses evidence building, education, and advocacy programs to address these needs.
